At Dr. Christy’s Piano Studio, students learn core skills that will enable them to play piano and make music for a lifetime. These skills include the ability to read notes fluently, count rhythm accurately, and play with expression.

In order to learn these skills, students must feel welcome in the studio environment and be encouraged during the process. This is just what I strive to do in every lesson.

When a student becomes a part of Dr. Christy’s piano studio, they will enjoy coming to lessons that are well-paced for their level. They will receive praise for accomplishments and encouragement for challenges. The end result? Happy piano students who are equipped to make music for a lifetime!

Private Piano Lessons Available for Kids and Adults

Kid’s Lessons Kids learn best in a structured learning environment. This is why Private Piano Lessons for K-12 students follow a set calendar for each academic year (August - May) with weekly lessons and various performance opportunities.

Lessons are tailored to a students needs and abilities and a curriculum is chosen to provide sequential learning. Students add to their skill set layer upon layer so the feeling of being overwhelmed is avoided even while progress is being achieved.

Adult Lessons Adult piano students benefit from a more flexible piano lesson schedule. Dr. Christy’s Piano Studio offers an Adult Lesson Package that allows the student to choose weekly lessons, bi-weekly lessons, or create an even more flexible lesson schedule.

Adults often have a variety of goals they would like to meet. I choose materials that will develop skill in playing piano while aligning with those goals. Want to learn how to play classical music? I can help with that. Want to learn to play from lead sheets? I can help with that too. Want help learning level-appropriate arrangements of hymns for church? I can help.

Private Lesson Details

Private Lessons are 30 minutes or 45 minutes in length. A beginning student usually begins with a weekly 30 minute lesson. Older students will progress faster with a 45 minute lesson.
Lessons take place in our home located in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Greenbrier is approximately 10 miles north of Conway.
Please complete the Request Information form for current rates.
Yes. For maximum progress, students must have a well-tuned instrument to practice daily. A young beginning student can start with a keyboard but will need to upgrade to an acoustic piano within a year.
